Here you will find a wide range of topics, techniques and perspectives that I love to work with and use in all my coaching.
Awareness
Throughout everything, it is all about creating awareness. About looking inwards and increasing our capacity to ‘see’ more and more. Of our own behaviours, patterns and the filters with which we interpret the world around us. The more we understand, discern and acknowledge our reactions and emotions the more agency we get over our lives and our natural way of being.
Team dynamics and implicit layers
How can we identify and name what is explicit in a group or a team? For example what beliefs does a group hold, which unwritten rules are present, what is considered ‘normal’ in the group culture and how are all these elements influencing in an unconscious way its individual members and how the group interacts. This is crucial to restore any disruptions that might have occured.
Love, intimacy and relationships
Topics that offer a lifetime of learning and growth. Yet the aim can be clear, to cultivate mature, healthy and deep love, intimacy and relationships.
Polarity
Polarity is all about how to create attraction in relationship by using masculine and feminine energies. How can we cultivate a consciously polarised relationship that serves the depth of the relationship and naturally exposes the best version of you and your partner.
Systemic work
Our lives and who we are as individuals are never independent of the influence of our family system. We are inherently part of a system that acts according to dynamics explained in systemic work. Acknowledging our place in this system and gaining insight into our relationship to it, is a crucial part to positively develop as an individual.
Emotional intelligence and maturity
Meaning a clear awareness on your emotional experience, being able to take full responsibility for that experience and express in a healthy way about this experience. From reaction to response is a beneficial move in all parts of our lives, at work, in relationships and even with ourselves.
Body awareness
A lot of us live our lives from our heads, stuck in thinking without feeling either emotions or our bodies. While our bodies are enormously intelligent systems and our connection to it crucial for our well being. The more connected we are to our bodies the more we can be present in our lives in calm, clear and steady ways.
Intuition and listening
Cultivating a clear connection to our intuition is like being able to listen to the voice that actually knows instead of the voice that constantly protects. This is crucial for a shift from fear (or survival) based living to free living. And who doesn’t want to be truly free?
Authentic communication
Learning how to communicate and express in a clear, responsible and respectful way to others. This means, practicing to express emotions, needs and interpretations in a clear, vulnerable and non-demanding way. This also entails being able to listen to, clarify and acknowledge anyone that you are communicating with. Knowing how to do this is a life changing way of being and relating to anyone you come across.
Patterns, programming and beliefs
As you start working on yourself, you will inevitably be mirrored back your own patterns, behaviours and beliefs. All of which are learned or adopted, some of which are non-beneficial or straight destructive for yourself and your current day life. Becoming aware of these patterns and automatic behaviours will help you to move beyond repeating unwanted situations in life and get more agency in general.
Authenticity and the free self
Most of us ask ourselves the question ‘who am I really?’ and ‘what do I really want in life?’. Becoming the most true and free expression of ourselves can be a life journey in itself. And yet, it is possible to get in touch with that free and authentic self at any moment in time. By recognising this part in yourself, and cultivating it, we are able to move through life in our most authentic way.
Self love, acceptance and compassion
Self love is said to not be about adding extra love for yourself, but just about seeing, removing and even loving the parts that are negative or non-beneficial. After that, only self love will actually remain. So, acceptance and compassion are essential skills to increase the love of self.
Leadership of self and others
Leading clearly, powerfully and with heart is always the aim. This is all about being able to create and take care of, with intention, the things in life that you love and want. It also entails how to lead others in your authentic way. Be it in business, family or in any other aspect of life.
Health and healthy habits
It is crucial, especially in more intense times of development and transformation, to have healthy habits or deal with unhealthy ones. This could be from eating healthy, working out, meditating or journalling every day. The things that we consistently do to carry ourselves through good times and bad are the things that sometimes just keep us afloat.
Meditation, thought and mindfulness
We can use meditation, self enquiry and mindfulness to become aware of thoughts and thought patterns as well as the clear understanding that we are not our thoughts but merely its observer. Getting in touch with the position of the observer together with its qualities of for example silence, peace and happiness is a great joy!
Spirituality
In the end we are all spiritual beings. We can use the spiritual perspective in coaching to get in touch with the most fundamental perspective on life and ourselves. This often helps to understand ourselves and the world around us in a deeper way and helps to navigate it with new clarity and confidence.
